Absolutely! I love my Moby wrap, and although my husband prefers more structured carriers like the ergo or Bjorn, he has been known to rock the Moby! Thanks for the links, just today I was looking up a video for using the Moby with a newborn, since I didn't but it until a few months in with my first little one.

This is the first valentines day we have not been able to spend with my husband as he is currently deployed so that makes it a little sad. However my 3 year old son is really excited about his homemade valentines for his friends at preschool and he has made something special for me that he hid in his room. He can't wait to give it to me in the morning :) So while we are missing Daddy, we are also having lots of fun enjoying each other this year.

My daughter is almost 19 months. For Valentines Day this year, we made home made play dough and have been making heart shapes with our new cookie cutters. Today, my daughter looked at the necklace I was wearing and said "heart"! It means so much to me that our play dough moment became a true learning moment and she is carrying over her skills. I am so proud of my baby valentine.

I was looking for something inspirational, and I definitely found it in this post. I'm always struggling to find something that will help incorporate independent playtime for my daughter. I think I'm over-thinking it, which is not unusual. I'm going to stick with the 5 senses, I'm sure I can come up with something! Thanks a Million!

Excellent article! I believe that technology should definitely be used in moderation for children over the age of 2, and not at all for children under the age of 2. Far to often parents use the television as a way to get a little down time for themselves. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a little down time, but a crayon and a piece of paper will keep them just as occupied, and it's aiding in development.
